Angel Donor Drive

A stronger community helping neighbors thrive

As we approach the end of 2026, I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood beside COPE this year. Because of your generosity, families throughout western Douglas County found hope, stability, and the support they needed.

When we chose “Thrive” as our word for 2026, we set out to do more than meet needs. We wanted to help our neighbors, and our organization, flourish. We asked ourselves where the gaps were and how we could fill them. Your support made all of this possible to answer.

Following the close of our federally-funded assistance program, we’ve put everything we learned into expanding what we offer to our families in Western Douglas County.

  • We launched our Food for Kids program so that families didn’t have to wonder where the next meal would come from during school breaks.
  • We expanded our Community Outreach Center’s open hours to be here when our neighbors need us most.
  • We supported our neighbors’ stability with workshops and learning opportunities.

These new pathways of engagement are part of a larger story. Neighbors are still turning to COPE for food, utility assistance, clothing, and emergency help. With your support we’ve been ready to meet them.

Now, as the year draws to a close, we’re launching our Angel Donor Drive, a special campaign that sustains our work all year long. Your gift helps us respond wherever the need is greatest, whether that’s keeping food on shelves, lights on for a struggling family, or hope alive through compassionate outreach.

We also invite you to consider becoming a monthly supporter. Ongoing gifts, no matter the size, your help will ensure that COPE can meet needs and fill the gaps every single day of the year. You can set up a recurring donation here, or mail your gift to: COPE, P.O. Box 177, Elkhorn, NE 68022.

COPE now supports over 700 households each year, and together we’re building a stronger, more caring community. Thank you for helping our neighbors thrive.

Wishing you peace, joy, and blessings in the year ahead,

Nancy Lary
